Deepika Restaurant is situated on the Chittoor Highway in Mamanduru, right across from the Punjabi Dhaba. Being on the highway means we see a lot of travelers, especially those going to or from Tirupati. It’s a dusty road and gets very hot, so we try to keep the place as cool as possible for people stopping for a break. The building is simple, and we have enough space for cars to park out front. It’s not a luxury stop, just a regular highway restaurant where you can get a hot meal and a glass of water. We’ve been here long enough that the truck drivers know us well. The food is local style, nothing too spicy unless you ask for it. We open early because the highway traffic never really stops. Sometimes it's quiet, and other times three cars pull in at once and we’re scrambling to get everyone served. We don't have a big team, just family and a few helpers. We don't do fancy plating; the food comes out on regular plates and we try to get it to you fast so you can get back on the road. If you're driving down the Chittoor Highway and see the Punjabi Dhaba, just look across the road and you'll find us. We don't have any flashy lights, just a plain sign. It’s a basic place for travelers to rest their legs and fill their stomachs before the next leg of their journey.
