Hotel Brindhavan Family Restaurant

If you are looking for us in Tirupati, we are down in the basement area under the Amaravathi Lodge. It’s a bit of a funny spot being underground, but it stays a little cooler down here when the sun is beating down on T.P. Area. We are right near the Group Theatre, so a lot of people stop in before or after a show. It’s a family restaurant, which mostly means we have big tables and we don't mind if kids are making a bit of noise. We serve the kind of food we eat at home. No fancy plating, just good portions on the plate. My uncle started this place because he liked cooking for big groups. Now a few of us cousins run the floor and the kitchen. We get a lot of pilgrims coming through 517501. They are usually tired and hungry after a long day at the temple. We try to get the food out fast so they can go rest. The lights are a bit bright and the chairs are just plastic, but they do the job. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes it gets crowded and you have to wait for a table, but that’s just how it goes during peak season. It’s a loud, busy kitchen but we like the energy. We try to keep things moving along quickly for everyone. We usually have the news playing on the television in the corner. We stay open late most nights.
