Sadigotech Farmer Producer Company

We mostly hang around Kawatika Nodirpar, right by the river in the Chirang district. Elias Sikder is the person who looks after the main activities for Sadigotech Farmer Producer Company. It is a quiet spot most of the time, though there is always plenty of farming happening near the water. We are a group of local farmers who decided to organize ourselves to make things a bit simpler. Most of the work happens right in the fields or at Elias’s place. We do not have a big office building or any corporate stuff. We just meet up and decide what needs doing for the current season. Being near the river has its own set of challenges, especially when the water level changes, but it is good for the crops. Chirang is our home and we have been working this land for a long time. This company is just our way of working together instead of everyone doing their own thing separately. We talk about seeds, the weather, and where we might sell what we grow. It is all very hands-on and practical. If you walk down towards the riverbank, you will probably see some of us out there working. We do not use complicated plans or big words. We just want to make sure our families are okay. It is basic work, but it is what we know. People around here recognize us as just another local group trying to get by.
