Zeenath Steels

You can find Zeenath Steels over at 2 Venkata Maistry Street, which is in the George Town area, specifically Mannady. It’s a very old part of the city, and the streets are quite narrow and winding. We’ve been here for a good while now, dealing with all kinds of steel products. The area is always buzzing with activity, mostly from other traders and people moving materials around on carts or small trucks. Our place is simple—we focus on the steel and not much else. It gets pretty hot in the summers, but we just keep working through it. We have a lot of regular faces who come by, people who have been buying from us for years. It’s a practical kind of business. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that; it’s mostly just stacks of material and us working to get it ready for whoever needs it. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have several loads arriving at once, but we eventually get it all sorted out. Working in Mannady means you have to be quick and know how to navigate the traffic. We just take it one day at a time, making sure we have what our customers are looking for. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. We like being part of the George Town trade community because there's always something happening around the corner, even on the quiet days.
