We operate out of Badal Apartments, specifically at number 8 on Vivekananthan School Street in Chrompet. It’s a familiar spot for anyone living in this part of Chennai. The apartment is small, so we’ve had to be creative with how we arrange the chairs and tables. It’s mostly used for students who are focusing on their higher secondary studies, so there are always notebooks and pens lying around. The street outside can be quite noisy with people going to the school nearby or heading to the market. Inside, we try to keep it focused, though the heat can be a bit much during the summer months. The walls are mostly bare except for some schedules we’ve taped up. It feels more like a home than an office, which some people seem to like. We don't have a reception desk or anything like that; you just walk in and find someone working. The stairs are a bit narrow, so it’s a squeeze when everyone is leaving at the same time. We spend most of our time going over lessons or checking work. It’s a simple, honest setup for students who need a place to concentrate away from their houses. We don't put on any acts here. It’s just about getting through the syllabus and helping where we can, without any of the fancy extras you see elsewhere. Sometimes the doorbell gets stuck, so people just knock on the wooden door instead.
