Hobby Campus

We are located at No. 56 on Gajapathy Street in Shenoy Nagar. It is a nice spot because it is right parallel to Billroth Hospitals, so it is easy for people to find us even if they aren't from Aminjikarai. The building is an old one, and it has that specific smell of paper and glue that you find in workshops. We have different rooms for the activities we do here. There are always tables covered in paint spills or bits of cut paper from the morning sessions. It gets pretty noisy when the kids show up after school. We try to keep things tidy, but when you are doing something creative, it never stays clean for long. The light comes in through the side windows in the morning, which is the best time to be here. We have shelves full of supplies that have been piling up for years. Some of the brushes are missing handles and the jars are often mismatched. People come here to spend a few hours away from their busy lives. It feels like a small community. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who like making things and teaching others how. Sometimes we just sit and talk while working on a project. The street outside can be a bit frantic with the hospital traffic, but inside it is different. It is just a place where you can get your hands dirty and not worry about being perfect.
