Roy Academy

We are situated right near St. Joseph’S Church. Most people find us just by looking for the church spire and walking a few steps further. It is a relatively quiet neighborhood most of the time, except for when the classes let out. We have several rooms set up for teaching. The walls are mostly covered in old charts and student work that has been there for a while. It is just a local place where kids and adults come to learn different things. We do not have a big reception desk or anything like that. Usually, you just walk in and someone will be there to help you out. Much of the day is spent preparing lessons or grading papers at the small desks in the back. The bells from the church next door help us keep track of time throughout the day. In the evenings, it gets quite busy with students coming in after their regular school hours. We have a few fans that hum constantly to keep the air moving in the small rooms. Sometimes we run out of chalk or markers and someone has to run down to the corner shop. It is a simple setup. We focus on the teaching part and do not worry too much about having fancy furniture or decorations. People come here because they know where we are and what we do. It has been the same routine for a good while now.
