Winstar Shipping Services is located right in the heart of Parrys at No 78 Armenian Street. If you know the area, you know it’s one of the oldest and busiest parts of Chennai, right across from the High Court. Armenian Street itself has so much history, with the old church nearby and all the small shops lining the lanes. Our office is right in the middle of all that chaos. It’s a lively place to be, though it can get very loud with all the lawyers, vendors, and traffic right outside. We handle shipping services, which means we are constantly dealing with port paperwork and transport schedules. The office is quite cramped because we have so many files and old ledgers lying around. We don’t have a fancy air-conditioning system that works perfectly, so it can get a bit warm in the afternoons. But we have a good ceiling fan and plenty of water. Most of the staff have been working in Parrys for their entire lives and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It’s a bit of a maze getting to our door, but once you’re inside, it’s just a group of people working hard. We don’t put on any acts here. It’s just us, doing the work that needs to be done to keep the cargo moving through the port. There’s always someone yelling for a file or a phone ringing, but that's just the day-to-day life here on Armenian Street.
