Out in Madhavaram, things feel a bit different than the center of the city. Our office is at No.9A on 6th Main Road, right in Pukraj Nagar. It’s tucked away a bit on Third Cross Street. Usually, you’ll find a few bikes parked outside and the sound of the neighbor's radio coming through the window. We do construction work, mostly around this part of Chennai and some other spots in Tamil Nadu. It’s a lot of coordination. You spend half the day on the phone and the other half looking at cement and steel. The weather gets tough sometimes, especially when we are out on a site in the middle of July. We keep it simple here. There’s a big table where we spread out the blueprints. Most of the staff has been around for a while. We know the local shops and the guys who deliver the sand. It’s not a corporate setup with glass walls and carpets. It’s more of a place where boots get dirty and the tea is always strong. Madhavaram has its own pace. We try to keep up with the deadlines, but sometimes the rain or a late delivery slows us down. That’s just construction for you. We just keep moving on to the next task. The address has stayed the same for quite a bit now. People know where to find us if they need to talk about a project or just check on progress.
