A. K. S. Housing Development Co. Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Flat No. F1 on the first floor of Balaji Avenue 1St Street. We’re at Door No. 12/17 in T. Nagar. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always noise from the street coming up through the windows. We’ve been in this office for quite some time now. It’s where we handle all the housing development details. T. Nagar is a place where you really have to know your way around, and we’ve lived and worked here long enough to do just that. Our space is functional, not fancy. We have desks, chairs, and stacks of documents that need sorting. We don't go in for big presentations. Usually, we just sit down with a cup of tea and go over the plans with whoever comes in. Development work involves a lot of waiting on permits and talking to contractors. It’s a lot of patience. We try to keep our heads down and just do the work. The team here is small, and we all know each other well. We don't have a receptionist in a suit. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. That’s just the way we like to run things. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the windows and keep writing until it comes back.
