Vip Computers

We run Vip Computers out here in Tamil Nadu. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those big showrooms you see in the major cities. We mostly deal with whatever comes our way, whether it's a cracked screen or someone needing a new keyboard for their home setup. Since we are based in India, we see all kinds of people coming through. The shop is filled with various boxes and spare parts that we’ve collected over the years because you never know when an old cable might come in handy. It’s a bit dusty, no matter how much we try to sweep it out in the morning. We don’t really have a fancy website or a marketing team, just our name on the board and a phone that rings fairly often. Most of the day is spent troubleshooting things that don't want to work. Sometimes we have to order parts from further away, which takes time, but that’s just how it goes. We drink a lot of coffee while we wait for things to download or install. It's just two or three of us here usually. We keep the lights on late if there's a big job to finish, but mostly we try to get home for dinner. It’s honest work and we like the people we meet. If you ever find yourself in our part of the state, you'll see we're just a regular bunch of guys working on computers and trying to keep everything running for the folks nearby.
