Vendigge Engineering Projects is tucked away in Nanganallur. We are on 7th Street at number 6A. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. We deal with engineering stuff, mostly projects around this side of town. The office isn't very large. We have a few computers and some old blueprints lying around. It’s a bit messy sometimes when we have a big deadline. We’ve been operating from this house-turned-office for a few years. It feels more comfortable than a glass building. Most of our guys are out on sites during the day. We stay back to handle the phone calls and the drawing work. Nanganallur is a nice place to work because you can find good food nearby. We don't have a marketing department. We just get work through word of mouth mostly. Someone knows someone who needs a project done, and they call us. We try to keep things simple. Engineering can get complicated, so we prefer to talk in plain terms. The internet sometimes acts up when it rains, which is frustrating. But we get through it. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in Chennai. We just want to finish our projects and go home to our families. It’s a decent life. If you're in the neighborhood, you'll see our small sign on the gate. That's us. We usually keep some snacks in the drawer for the long afternoons.
