Vega Metal Fabs

Vega Metal Fabs is over at No.27 on T.T.K. Road in Royapettah. It is a very busy part of Chennai. We are right near the Music Academy, so during the concert season, the traffic outside is absolutely crazy. You can hear the horns honking all day long while we are inside working with the metal. We do fabrication, which means a lot of cutting, bending, and joining steel and other metals. The workshop is narrow and goes back quite a way. It stays hot inside because of the machinery and the lack of a good breeze. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just look at the pieces sitting on the floor waiting to be picked up. My hands are usually stained black by noon. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just the old reliable tools that haven't failed us yet. Royapettah is an old neighborhood and we fit right in with the other small shops. We don't do any marketing or have a big sales team. Usually, it’s just someone walking in because they saw us working from the street. T.T.K. Road is a good place to be, even if it’s loud. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to get the dimensions right for every order. That is all there is to it, just keeping the hammer striking.
