Usha Metal Forgings Unit is located at 4B(Np) in the developed plot area of Ekkattuthangal. This is where we have our main forge shop and the small office where we handle the books. If you come by, you’ll hear the sound of hammers and heat coming from the back. It’s a hot and loud place, but that’s just the nature of forging metal. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. The office is just a small room partitioned off from the main floor so we can hear the phone ring. We don't have a website or anything like that because we usually just deal with other local workshops that need forged parts. The guys working here have been with us for years and they know exactly what they’re doing. We don't wear suits or have big meetings. Usually, we just stand around a piece of metal and talk about how to shape it right. The yard outside is often filled with raw iron rods waiting to be used. It’s not a pretty sight, but it’s where the work gets done. We just focus on making parts that are strong and fit the measurements we were given. It's a basic industrial job, and we take it one day at a time here in Ekkattuthangal.
