You can find us right in the middle of Sowcarpet on Ramanuja Street. If you’ve ever been to this part of Chennai, you know how crowded and lively it gets. Our office at No.5 is where we spend most of our time looking at maps and layouts for different plots of land. It’s a busy street, so there’s always noise from the shops and the people walking by outside. We’ve been working out of this spot for a bit, focusing on land and how to lay things out so they make sense for people looking to buy. We aren't a huge operation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who know the local land market and how the paperwork needs to be handled at the registrar's office. Some days are just spent drinking coffee and waiting for clients to show up for their appointments. Other days we are out on the field, getting our shoes dirty looking at actual sites. Sowcarpet has a certain energy to it that keeps us moving, even when the heat is bad. We don't use a lot of fancy technology, just the basics to get the job done right. It’s practical work. We talk to neighbors, we deal with the local authorities, and we try to make sure everything is in order. It’s a bit cramped in the office sometimes with all the files, but we make it work somehow. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
