Uplift Engineerings

We operate out of A-2 in the Venkat Ramana Apartments over in Sri Ayyappa Nagar. It’s a residential area in Virugambakkam, which makes it a bit different from a typical industrial engineering firm. We’ve converted part of the apartment space into our workspace where we handle technical drawings and project plans. Most of our days are spent at the desks or out on-site visiting various projects across the city. We don't have a large crew, just a few people who know their way around engineering work and calculations. The apartment is usually quiet, except for the sound of the printers or someone on a phone call with a contractor. We keep all our tools and measuring equipment in one of the back rooms. It’s a practical setup for the kind of consulting and planning we do. People sometimes find it funny that an engineering firm is based in an apartment complex, but it works for us. We don't need a huge warehouse for the type of work we handle on a daily basis. Most of our communication happens through emails or phone calls these days. When we aren't here in the office, we are usually traveling to check on how things are being built. We’ve been in Virugambakkam for a few years and we really like the neighborhood. It’s a bit of a climb to get up here, but the space is good. We just focus on getting the technical details right for every job we take on.
