We’ve been at this spot in West Mambalam for quite some time now. Our office is right there on Kuppiah Street, inside the Rams building at number 30. It’s a busy part of Chennai, and if you know the area, you know how the traffic can get. We mostly spend our days dealing with technical drawings and project files. There are about a dozen of us here on a typical Tuesday. It’s not a huge fancy glass building, just a regular flat turned into a workspace. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we just take the stairs instead. Most of the folks here have been around for years, so we all know each other’s coffee preferences. We handle a lot of the engineering side of things for the bigger projects the company takes on. It’s quiet work, mostly sitting at desks and looking at screens or talking on the phone with sites. The neighborhood is nice because there are plenty of small shops nearby if someone needs to grab a quick snack or a pen. We keep the doors shut to keep the dust out from the street, but it’s a decent place to spend the day. Nothing too flashy, just people doing their jobs and making sure the numbers and designs are right before they go out. We've got some old wooden cabinets that are stuffed with papers from ten years ago that nobody wants to throw away yet.
