About Trans Cargo International – Transportation & Logistics in Chennai
Our spot is at 164 Singapore Plaza on Linghi Chetty Street. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know how packed it is with people and shops. It’s an old part of the city, and the building reflects that. Trans Cargo International is just one of many businesses operating out of this plaza. We are up a couple of flights of stairs, and the hallway is always a bit dim. Inside, we have a pretty basic setup. There are stacks of boxes in the corner and a few desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend our days dealing with cargo manifests and shipping documents. Being near the port area means there’s a certain energy to the work, even if we are just sitting behind desks. The windows don’t offer much of a view, just the busy street below and the tops of other buildings. We have a small pantry where we make coffee, and it usually smells like roasted beans around ten in the morning. People here are pretty straightforward. We don't use big words or have long corporate meetings. We just get the day's tasks done, argue a bit about where the stapler went, and make sure the cargo is moving. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of visitors, but we make it work somehow. It’s the kind of place where everyone pulls their weight and we don't worry much about appearances as long as the work is right.
