You can find us at No 625/28 in the Mini Market on M K N Road in Guindy. The Mini Market is always a hive of activity, especially in the mornings when all the shops are opening up. We deal with tools and various types of metals. Our space is filled with the smell of iron and the clinking sound of hardware being moved around. The shelves are heavy and made of thick wood to hold all the weight of the inventory. We do not have much room to move around, so you have to be careful not to trip over a box or a pile of pipes. Most of our customers are tradespeople who know exactly what grade of metal or what tool they are looking for. We spend a lot of time cutting things to size or weighing out pieces on the old scale. Guindy is a loud part of town with the train station nearby and the constant flow of traffic on M K N Road. We are used to the noise by now. The shop has a bit of a worn-out look, but it is sturdy and does the job. We keep a ledger on the desk to track everything because we prefer doing it by hand. It feels more reliable that way than using a computer. We take our lunch breaks together in the back of the shop among the crates. It is just a small business trying to get through the work.
