Our place is over in Anna Nagar at M5 on 3rd Avenue. If you know Chennai, you know 3rd Avenue is a busy spot. Tesla Projects And Infrastructures is basically just a group of us working out of this office to manage various building and road projects. It’s noisy outside with the traffic, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. We have been here for a while and the office has that lived-in feel, with mismatched chairs and a printer that only works when it wants to. We don't do all that polished corporate stuff. We’d rather be out at a site checking on the concrete than sitting in a long meeting. Usually, someone is coming in with muddy boots or a set of drawings that need checking. Infrastructure is hard work and there are always things that go wrong, like a machine breaking down or a delivery getting stuck in city traffic. We just try to fix things and move on to the next step. It’s a lot of coordination and talking to different contractors. We keep it simple. If we say we are going to do something, we try to get it done, even if it takes a bit longer than planned. It’s a practical business and we like being part of how the city is changing. We’re just regular people trying to do a solid job.
