You can find Sri Velmurugan Engg Works over in Porur, specifically at No : 6 on the 4th Street in Ramanatha Easwarar Nagar. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main roads, which helps when we’re trying to focus on our machining and repair work. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years. The shop floor is where everything happens. It smells like oil and metal most of the time. We take in various engineering jobs, whether it's fixing something small or working on a larger component. It’s a local operation, and we know many of the neighbors. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People just bring their work to us because they know we've been here at this address in Porur for a long time. The equipment we use is sturdy and reliable. It’s not the newest stuff on the market, but it gets the job done. We wake up, open the shutters, and start the machines. Some days are busier than others, especially when a lot of parts come in at once. We just take it one job at a time. It’s a bit dusty and loud, but that’s how a workshop is supposed to be. We’re glad to be part of the local community here. We just keep doing what we know how to do, day in and day out. It is a humble place, but we take care of things that come through our door.
