Our hospital is at No. 47 on Railway Station Road in Kodambakkam. Because of where we are, you can often hear the trains passing by throughout the day and night. It becomes a kind of background noise that none of us really notice anymore after working here for a while. The building isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. We get a lot of people coming in who have just stepped off the train or live in the busy streets nearby. Kodambakkam is always full of energy, and being near the station means there is always a crowd passing by. Inside, we have a small team of doctors and assistants who have worked together for a long time. We know each other's habits and how everyone likes their coffee. The waiting area is usually full by mid-morning, and we try our best to keep things moving along so nobody is waiting too long in the heat. There is no fancy lobby here, just some chairs and a desk where we keep the patient files in stacks. We deal with all sorts of things, from small scrapes to people feeling under the weather. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit disorganized on busy Mondays, but we eventually find whatever we are looking for. It is a straightforward place where we just focus on getting the work done.
