Sri Mahalakshmi Steel Industries

We’re located at No. 4, Loganathan Nagar, on 1St Street in Choolaimedu. We are just off the 100 Ft Road, so the traffic noise is something we’ve grown very used to over the years. It’s a busy neighborhood, and our steel shop is right in the thick of it. We handle all kinds of steel materials, and our space is usually packed from floor to ceiling with stock. It’s not a huge place, so we have to be careful how we stack things so nothing falls over. Working with steel is heavy business, and we spend a lot of our time loading and unloading pieces for people who stop by. Sri Mahalakshmi Steel Industries is a small operation, mostly just a few of us making sure everything is where it should be. The walls are a bit scuffed and the floor is stained, but it’s a working shop, not a gallery. Sometimes the 100 Ft Road gets so jammed that it takes forever for a delivery to arrive, which can be frustrating, but that is just life in Choolaimedu. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to get through the day's orders and keep the shop running. We know our way around the different grades of steel and what people usually need. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it at this same address for quite some time now.
