If you come down Mugaliwakkam Main Road in Porur, you’ll find us at No 1/376. This is where we do all our stainless steel fabrication work. It’s a loud environment with the sound of grinding and cutting machines going pretty much from morning until evening. We have stacks of steel sheets and pipes everywhere, and you have to be careful where you step to avoid tripping. The heat from the welding can get quite intense during the summer months, but we are used to it by now. We spend our time looking at sketches and measuring out pieces to make sure everything fits together just right. It’s heavy work, and there is usually a layer of metal dust over the desks in the small office area. We aren't a big corporate setup; it’s mostly just people in work clothes getting things done. The road outside is always congested with trucks and bikes, which makes loading the finished products a bit of a challenge most days. We usually have a few different jobs going on at once, so there is a lot of moving parts from one corner of the shop to the other. Tea breaks are the only time it really gets quiet here in the factory. We just stick to our schedule and try to get the orders finished so the floor stays clear for the next delivery of raw material. It's tough work but it's what we do.
