Spring Boots Academy Of Dance

Spring Boots Academy Of Dance is situated right on 2nd Avenue in Besant Nagar. We take up the 2nd and 3rd floors of the E 34 building. Being so close to the Besant Nagar Bus Depot means there is always a lot of movement outside. We can hear the buses and the people all day long. We started this academy because we just liked to dance and wanted a place for others to do the same. It’s not a fancy studio with velvet curtains. It’s got wooden floors that sometimes creak and big windows that let in the light from the avenue. We spend most of our evenings here, teaching whoever wants to learn. It’s a lot of sweat and sometimes a bit of frustration when a move doesn't go right, but we keep at it. We don't promise anyone they will become a star. We just give them a place to move around. The 2nd and 3rd floors give us enough room to breathe. Besant Nagar is a great spot because the beach is right there if we need a break. We’ve been here a while, and the stairs up to the academy are well-worn by now. We aren't trying to be the most famous school in the city. We are just a group of people who enjoy dance and happen to have a space on 2nd Avenue to share it. It’s hard work, but it’s good.
