Sound Land

Chintadripet is a busy spot, especially near the Radio Market. We’re over on Singhania Chetty Street. The address is a bit confusing because the old number was 50 but now it is New No. 123. Most people just look for the shops near Mount Road anyway. It gets quite noisy during the day with all the traffic and people moving boxes around. We spend most of our time inside the shop dealing with whatever comes in that day. It isn't a fancy place. The walls could probably use some paint and the fans make a bit of a clicking sound when they are on high. We’ve been around this part of Chennai for some time now. You see the same faces every morning when the tea stall opens up. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy but that is just how it is in this area. We handle various sound related things, mostly just keeping busy with the daily orders and parts. It's a lot of work and the space is quite cramped with all the inventory. Usually, there's a lot of dust because of the construction nearby. We just keep the doors open and get on with it. It’s a practical setup for us. Not much room for lounging around. If you are looking for us, just head toward the market and ask someone where Singhania Chetty Street is. Most of the locals know the way.
