Son Fabrication

Son Fabrication is a small shop located at 1/19 SouthBethelNagar in Injambakkam. It is not a huge factory or anything like that, just a local place where we work on different metal projects. We started this because we know how to build things and Injambakkam seemed like a decent spot to set up. Every morning we open the doors and start looking at what needs to be welded or cut. There is always a lot of scrap metal lying around and the floors are never really as clean as they should be, but that is the nature of fabrication. We are right in South Bethel Nagar, so we get to know the people living and working nearby. It is a straightforward job. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write a glossy brochure for us. We just do the work as it comes in. Some days it is just small repairs and other days we are busy with larger frames. It gets hot inside when the torches are running, especially in the middle of the day. We usually have some tea and take a break when things get too intense. Being in Injambakkam is nice because it is close enough to everything but still has its own local feel. We don't have any big speeches about our values. We just show up at 1/19 and get through the list of tasks for the day. It’s a bit noisy and dusty, but it works for us.
