Our office is tucked away in Kapilam Aparts, specifically No. 133/F1 on Aani Street in Chinmaya Nagar. It’s a quiet enough corner of Virugambakkam, though Chennai is never really that quiet. At SMCM Constructions Private Limited, we are usually busy coordinating different building sites from our desks here. We aren't a massive corporation with a glass building. We work out of this apartment space because it is practical and close to where many of our projects are. Most days involve a lot of phone calls to foremen and suppliers. We deal with the usual stuff like late sand deliveries, rain delays, and workers not showing up on time. It can be a bit of a headache, but we have been doing this long enough to not let it get to us too much. Our team is small, and we all pitch in on whatever needs doing, whether it is checking a bill or going out to a site to look at a foundation. We don't use any marketing fluff or try to act like we are bigger than we are. We just focus on getting the structures built properly. Living and working in Chennai means dealing with the heat and the crowds, but it’s home. We are just regular people who know how to manage a construction job.
