You’ll find our shop at No:15/22 on Chandran Street, over in the Maduvinkarai area of Guindy. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of small workshops and trade businesses tucked away in the lanes. At Smartfab Metal Fabrication, we’re mostly surrounded by the sound of cutting metal and the bright flashes of welding torches. It’s a grit-under-your-fingernails kind of job. The workshop is always a bit of a mess with scraps of steel and iron lying around, but we try to keep it safe enough to walk through. We handle all sorts of fabrication requests, from simple frames to more complicated structures that people bring us drawings for. Sometimes the drawings are just sketches on a piece of paper, and we have to figure out how to make them work. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us wearing our masks or bent over a workbench. We’ve been in Guindy long enough to know the local suppliers and where to get the best materials for a fair price. We don't make any grand promises; we just tell you what we can do and how long it’s going to take us to finish it. It’s honest work, and we like being part of the local trade community here on Chandran Street. People around here know we’re straightforward and that’s just the way we like to do things.
