T.Nagar is probably one of the busiest places you could pick for an office. We are located at No. 29 on Thilak Street. If you know the area, you know how the traffic and the crowds are, especially during the festival seasons. SLA Constructions has been running out of this space for some time now. It’s a straightforward operation. We handle construction projects, and being in the heart of Chennai means we are never too far from anything. The office is often a bit messy with rolls of drawings and samples of tiles or granite. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just focus on the work at hand. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, or the street gets blocked by a delivery truck. You get used to the noise of the city after a while. Most of our days are spent checking on the progress of various buildings. We talk to the masons, the electricians, and the clients. There is always something that needs fixing or a decision that needs to be made quickly. We keep a small crew and stay focused on what we know how to do. It’s a lot of hard work and staying late to finish the accounts. Thilak Street is home for the business, and we like the energy of the neighborhood. It's not always easy, but it is what we do every day.
