S.K. Steels

S.K. Steels is over at No-F/1, Spring Field Apartment, on 12th Cross Street in Indra Nagar, Adyar. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while now. It isn't a huge warehouse or anything, just a focused office in the apartment complex where we handle our steel business. Most days it’s just about answering the phone and checking on orders for local builders. Steel is a heavy business, but we keep the paperwork side of it here in Adyar. The street outside can get a bit crowded with parked cars, so it’s sometimes a hassle to find a spot. We don't have any big signs or neon lights. It’s just a small door and a desk with a lot of files. My uncle started this and now I’m the one looking after the day-to-day stuff. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation. We just want to make sure the people who need steel for their houses or projects get what they ordered on time. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to wait to send emails, but that’s just how it is. We’ve got a small kettle for tea and a couple of chairs for whoever drops by to talk about prices. It’s a simple way to make a living and we like being part of the neighborhood here. People know they can find us at No-F/1 if they need something sorted out without a lot of fuss.
