Site Engineer

Our setup is over at No 11/1 on Anjugam Nagar 1st Street in Kolathur. If you know Chennai-99, you know it’s a packed area with a lot of new houses coming up. Being a site engineer here means you’re always on the move. I don’t spend much time sitting in the office because if you aren't on the site, things start slipping. Most days start early with a coffee and then heading out to check on the masonry work or the plumbing layout. I try to keep things simple. There isn't any fancy corporate talk here, just practical building work. I’ve lived around this part of Chennai for a long time, so I know how the weather and the soil can be tricky for foundations. People come to us when they need someone to actually watch over their plot and make sure the contractors aren't cutting corners. It’s a lot of responsibility, but I’ve got used to the noise and the dust over the years. We handle everything from the initial ground clearing to the final roof slab. Sometimes the materials are late or the rain messes up the schedule, and that’s when the job gets stressful. But being right here in Kolathur makes it easier to manage the local sites. I just want to make sure the walls are straight and the structure is safe for whoever is going to live there eventually.
