Site Engineer

I've been working as a Site Engineer here on Nethaji Street for a while now. Indurani Nagar is a busy spot in Maduri, and my office at 27/1 is usually where you’ll find me when I’m not out on a plot. It’s not a big fancy place, just a desk covered in rolls of drawings and some old measuring tapes. People come by to talk about their house plans or complain about cement prices. It gets quite hot in Maduri, especially in the afternoons, so I try to get the site visits done early. My chair is a bit squeaky, but it does the job. Most days I’m just trying to make sure the levels are right and the bricks aren't shoddy. I don't use any big software for everything, sometimes a pencil and a notebook are better for explaining things to the masons. The tea shop down the road is where most of our real meetings happen anyway. It's just me and a couple of helpers sometimes. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address 27/1 on the wall. If I'm not in, I’m probably at a foundation dig or checking a slab pour somewhere nearby. It’s a lot of walking and dusty shoes, but that’s the work. Maduri keeps growing, so there’s always someone building something new around here. I just try to keep things moving along without too many mistakes.
