You can find Shri Vivek Metals over at 18/26 Ponnappa Chetty Street. It’s a narrow street and things can get pretty crowded during the middle of the day. We have been operating from this small spot for a while now, and everyone in the building knows us. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be really careful about how we stack our metal supplies. It’s a bit of a squeeze when a new delivery comes in, and we often have to move things around just to make a path. The shop is old and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but that isn't really a priority for us. We are more focused on the metal and making sure we have what people are looking for. There’s no big corporate structure here, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We know most of our customers by name, and they know us too. Sometimes we sit outside on stools when the shop gets too hot, just watching the people go by on Ponnappa Chetty Street. It’s a busy, noisy place to work, but we like the energy of the neighborhood. We don't use any fancy technology, just the same old scales and tools we’ve always used. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we plan on staying right here at this address.
