Shilpan Developers Private Limited is situated in Madipakkam, Chennai. We’re in the S G Manor Flat complex, specifically units 444 and 445. This is over in Srinivasa Nagar, which is a part of town that has grown incredibly fast over the last decade. Our office is basically a flat that we’ve converted into a workspace. It gives the whole thing a very neighborly vibe. We have a couple of rooms where we keep our computers, some surveying equipment, and lots of folders for different clients. The hallway is usually lined with boxes of tiles or samples of plumbing fixtures we’re looking at for a new project. Being in a residential building means we have to keep things relatively quiet so we don’t bother the people living nearby. Madipakkam can get quite flooded during the heavy rains, so we’re always keeping an eye on the weather from our balcony. We mostly handle small to mid-sized residential developments from here. It’s a lot of sitting around the dining table—which is now our main meeting desk—and going over costs and schedules. It’s a very grounded way to run a property business. We know the local shopkeepers and the people in the building. It’s just a straightforward, local operation where we do our best to keep things moving along for everyone involved in our building projects and plots. We focus on the daily grind and the practical steps needed for each construction.
