SDK Electrical

Our shop, SDK Electrical, is located at 3 A on Mgr Main Road in the Thiruverkadu area. Specifically, we are in Ayyapakkam Village, around the Bhavani Naga part of town. It is a busy stretch of road and things can get quite loud with all the traffic passing by throughout the day. I have been working here for a while now, and the routine is pretty much the same every morning. I unlock the shutters, sweep out the dust from the front step, and start checking what we have in stock. The shelves are filled with all sorts of electrical components, wires, and switches. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for everything we need to keep on hand. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is kept. It’s mostly just us doing our work and helping whoever walks through the door with their various electrical needs. People from the village come by when something in their house breaks or they need a specific part for a project. We don't have a big office or anything like that; it’s just the main shop area where all the business happens. In the summer, it gets pretty hot inside, so we keep the fans running at full speed. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The neighborhood has changed a bit over the years, but we’ve stayed right here on the main road, just doing our thing day after day.
