Scanfreight Shipping & Forwarding (P) Ltd. is located on the 1st Floor of 125, Linghi Chetty Street. If you know the area, you know it’s a hub for this kind of work. We aren't a big corporation with a glass front. We are just in an old building where the fans hum all day. Our work is mainly about moving containers and handling the customs papers. It’s a lot of small details that have to be right. We sit at our desks, drink a lot of tea, and talk to the port authorities. Linghi Chetty Street is a busy place, always full of people moving about. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the neighbors. The office is a bit crowded with files and old records, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a mission statement or anything like that. We just try to make sure the freight doesn't get stuck somewhere. Sometimes things go wrong at the docks and we have to spend the whole afternoon on the phone fixing it. It is just the way it is. We are a small team and we’ve worked together for a long time. It’s a bit dusty and the stairs are steep, but it’s home for the business. We focus on the practical side of shipping. No fancy talk, just moving boxes from one place to another through the system. We just stay busy with the cargo.
