Sathya Engineers

We are located at No-32-B on Basin Road. It's very close to the Thiruvottiyur Railway Station, so you can hear the trains passing by and the whistles blowing all day long. You get used to the sound after a while and barely notice it anymore. Thiruvottiyur is an older part of the city, and our building has that same kind of character. Sathya Engineers is just us doing what we do best without much fuss. The office is small and usually smells a bit like machine oil and old paper. We have a lot of old tools that still work better than most of the new ones we've tried. There’s a lot of dust because of the railway station being so close, so we spend some time every morning just wiping things down. It’s a busy neighborhood with people always rushing to catch their trains or get home. We’re right in the middle of all that activity. Sometimes customers just drop in unexpectedly because they were passing by on their way to the station. We don't have any formal uniforms or anything like that here. Just some old clothes that we don't mind getting a bit dirty or greasy. We do all our own maintenance on the shop. If a light goes out or a shelf breaks, one of us just fixes it ourselves. It's a very basic setup, but it belongs to us and it works.
