Saranyaa Devi Metals

You can find us at No.2 Peddu Naicken Street, which is right near the Kandaswamy Koil in Park Town. It’s an old part of the city, and the streets are narrow. We deal in metals, mostly scrap and some new pieces depending on what's in stock. Saranyaa Devi Metals has been a fixture here for a long time. The morning bells from the temple are our alarm clock. We move a lot of heavy stuff, so there is always a bit of clanging going on. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of traders. Our shop is crowded with stacks of copper, brass, and whatever else we've picked up. It might look like a mess to someone else, but we have a system for where things go. We deal with all sorts—small shop owners, builders, and even folks just looking for a bit of wire. We don’t do much advertising because people just know we’re here. Sometimes the heat in Park Town gets to be a lot, but we keep the water pot full. We talk to the neighbors every day over tea. It’s not a fancy business, just buying and selling metal and trying to make a living. We try to be fair and keep our scales honest. That’s about all there is to it. The truck drivers know to back in carefully so they don't block the whole street. We stay busy.
