Sans Computer

Down on Puthu Udaiyar Street in Pattukkottai, we’ve got our little computer shop. It’s labeled 102A, right in the thick of things here in the Tanjore district. We’ve been helping the local community with their tech issues for a while now. It’s a small space, mostly filled with spare parts, old monitors, and a couple of workbenches where we take things apart. People bring in laptops that won’t turn on or printers that are making strange noises. We don’t promise miracles, but we usually figure out what’s wrong. It’s a lot of dusty work and squinting at small circuit boards. The street outside is always busy, which keeps the energy up. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website; most people just know we’re here by word of mouth. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, which is just how it is in this part of Tamil Nadu. We sell some basic accessories too, like cables and mice, because someone is always losing one. Our customers are our neighbors, so we treat everyone fairly. You won’t find us wearing suits or using big corporate words. We’re just regular people who happen to be good with hardware and software. If you’re walking down the street and see the sign for Sans Computer, that’s us. We’ll probably be inside trying to fix a stubborn hard drive or installing an update.
