Sanghavi Metals is tucked away in Parrys, at 17 Mooker Nallamuthu Street. The address used to be Old No 9, so some people still call it that. If you know the Parrys area, you know it’s the heart of the old trading district in Chennai. The streets are narrow and always full of people and goods moving around. We have been here for a long time, dealing in various types of metals. Our shop is one of those traditional places where we keep a lot of stock piled up. It might look a bit crowded to an outsider, but we have our own system for everything. We spend our days weighing metal, talking to buyers, and checking the quality of what comes in. We don't really bother with fancy decorations or corporate talk. We just focus on the metal and the prices of the day. It’s a lot of manual labor and the weather can get pretty hot in these streets, but we are used to it. People know us for being reliable and for staying in the same spot for years. We open the doors early and stay until the last of the orders is handled for the day and the street starts to quiet down.
