Our place is in Anna Nagar East, inside the Newry Grandeur building on 2nd Avenue. It’s a nice enough spot in B-Block. Samprathy Developers is basically a group of us working on construction projects around Chennai. We’ve been at this for a while, and the office stays pretty busy with phone calls and people dropping in. Anna Nagar is a good place to be based because it's central and everyone knows where it is. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and talking to contractors. It’s not all exciting work, there’s a lot of waiting for permits and making sure the supplies show up on time. We don't really do the big fancy speeches about changing the world. We just build things that people need. Some days are just about solving problems on a site or dealing with the traffic to get there. The office address has that old number 11 and the new number 19, which sometimes confuses delivery guys, but we manage. We’re just local developers trying to make a living and get buildings finished without too much trouble. It's hard work, but we've got a rhythm down now. We like the local vibe here and the neighbors are good. Most of the time, we’re just focused on whatever project is right in front of us. It is just a normal day for us, checking on heights and concrete and making sure things are moving along.
