You can find us on T H Road, right near the tollgate. The address is No: 44/783/4, but most people just look for the stacks of metal. Sakthi Steel Corporations is a busy yard. We have trucks coming in and out all day long, especially because of the tollgate being so close. It’s a noisy spot with the sound of engines and metal clanging against metal. We deal with all sorts of steel products, mainly the heavy stuff used in building and construction. The sun is usually beating down on the yard, making the steel hot to the touch, so we have to be careful when moving things around. We don't have a fancy office; it’s mostly just a place to keep the ledgers and a couple of chairs for when customers come by to talk about their orders. I’ve been working with steel for a long time, and you get a feel for the weight and the quality just by looking at it. We don't do any big promotions. Contractors and builders just know we are here by the road. Sometimes the traffic gets backed up at the toll, and we just watch the cars go by while we wait for the next delivery. It’s hard, physical work, and we all go home pretty tired. But there’s a satisfaction in seeing a truck loaded up properly and heading out to a site. We just keep at it, day after day, through the heat and the noise.
