Our office is located in Lakshmi Apartments, specifically in building 2-C. We are on the 5th Street in Andavar Nagar, which is right in the heart of Kodambakkam, Chennai. Being in this part of the city means we are surrounded by a lot of activity and residential blocks. Saint Gobain India Gypsum Ltd operates from here, though it doesn't look like your typical high-rise office. It is more of a quiet, tucked-away spot where we handle the daily grind of the gypsum business. The Chennai heat is something we just deal with every day while managing our logs and customer calls. The apartment complex is older, and everyone knows everyone else. We spend our mornings checking on supplies and our afternoons making sure the gypsum products get to where they need to go. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important for the local building work. We don't have any flashy signs or big marketing displays. Mostly, it is just us at our desks, surrounded by files and samples. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard to get out, but that is just life in Chennai. We’ve been here for a good bit of time now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. People from the nearby construction sites often drop in to chat about their requirements for the week. We just give them the facts and move on with our tasks for the day.
