We’ve been tucked away here on Pillayar Koil Street for a good while now. Most folks know us at New No. 20, but some still look for the Old No. 6 on the door. It’s Kattuthergal, so it’s always got that local feel. My hands are usually covered in some kind of oil by ten in the morning, which is just how it goes in engineering. We have a few machines that have seen better days but they still run true if you know how to talk to them. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular place where we get things done. Sometimes the heat in here gets a bit much during the afternoons, especially when the metal is sitting out. We don't have a fancy front desk or anyone in a suit waiting to greet you. Usually, you’ll just find one of us hunched over a workbench or moving stuff around the floor. We spend our time fixing what’s broken and making sure parts fit like they should. It’s quiet work in a way, despite the noise of the drills. Neighbors drop by now and then just to say hello or ask for a quick hand with something. We like being part of the street here. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a small crew doing the usual daily tasks. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the scrap piles up when we're busy. That's life in a workshop.
