We are located in Ashok Nagar, up on the second floor of a building on 18th Avenue. The address is A 28, and it is right near 86th Street. Chennai is always loud and moving, and it is no different here at our office. Rpt Engineering Construction Privatelimited is basically a small group of us trying to get things built the right way. We handle both the engineering side and the actual construction work ourselves. It gets a bit cramped in the office sometimes with all the files and material samples laying around on the desks. We spend a lot of time on the phone with various suppliers trying to get better prices for things like bricks or floor tiles. It is not a very glamorous job, but it feels good to see a project finally finished after months of work. The stairs up to our second-floor office are a bit steep, but we are all used to it by now. Most of our work is scattered in different parts of the city, so we spend a lot of our time sitting in traffic. We do not have a fancy website or a dedicated marketing person to handle things. We just rely on doing the work and hoping that local people notice what we are doing. Sometimes things go wrong, like a pipe breaking or a permit taking forever to arrive, and we just have to deal with it. That is the reality of construction in a big city like Chennai.
