Indo China Agro Corporationz is tucked away at 21 Second Street in Balaji Nagar, which is in the Royapettah area. Since this is a busy part of the city, there is almost always a lot of noise coming in from the street windows. We have been operating from this particular building for several years now. It is not a very large space, but we manage to get all our work done without too much trouble. Mostly, we deal with the trading side of the agricultural world. There are usually piles of old ledgers and glass sample jars sitting around on the desks. We spend a large portion of our day communicating with various suppliers and shippers. Sometimes the internet connection is slow, which can be a bit frustrating when you are trying to get things moved, but we just deal with it. It is a lot of sitting and typing, then suddenly running out to check on a new delivery. The street outside can get pretty jammed up with scooters and delivery carts during the middle of the day. We do not have a big lobby or a reception desk. You just walk through the door and we are right there working. It feels a bit like a maze with all the boxes stacked up sometimes. We do not use much big talk or corporate language. We just stay focused on the movement of the goods. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to chat about the latest market prices. It is a very local way of doing things.
