You can find us right in the middle of the chaos of Chennai on Armenian Street. Agrocrops Farming Private Limited is located on the second floor of S.M. Plaza at No. 45. It’s a very old part of the city, and the streets are always narrow and filled with people and vehicles. Being an agricultural company in the heart of the city sounds a bit strange, but this is where we manage the logistics and the business side of things. The elevator in the plaza is a bit temperamental, so we often just take the stairs. Our office is usually filled with the sound of fans whirring and people talking on phones about crop yields and transport schedules. We deal with a lot of different crops from various parts of the state. It's a lot of paperwork and coordination. Even though we are surrounded by concrete and traffic, our minds are usually out on the farms. We spend our days talking to suppliers and making sure things get from the field to the market without too much trouble. It gets incredibly hot in Chennai, especially in this part of town where the buildings are so close together. We’ve been at this for a while now, and though the city has changed around us, the way we handle our farming business stays pretty much the same. It’s hard work and it isn't always pretty, but it’s what we do.
