Backyard Agrofarms Private Limited is situated at Sno440/6 Padma Street in the Vgn Fer area. We are in Block No.A4, Flat No.T1 in Ambattur. This is in the Tiruvallur district, near the edge of Chennai. Our setup is a bit different because we are in a more built-up area. We focus on small-scale farming and what people can grow closer to home. It is not a massive plantation. The office is just a regular flat where we do our planning. Ambattur is a busy industrial and residential place. We try to bring a bit of the farm life into this urban setting. It is a lot of logistics and talking to people about their small plots of land. We don't have a polished corporate image. We are just people who like growing things. Sometimes it is hard to manage the space in the city. We spend our time figuring out how to make agro-farming work in smaller spaces. Our address at Padma Street is where we keep our tools and notes. It's a simple operation. We aren't doing this for show. We just think it’s a practical way to live. If you visit us in Flat T1, you will see it’s a working space. No fancy reception desks here. We are just busy with the plants and the people of Tiruvallur. It is a quiet, steady kind of work. We mostly talk to our neighbors and local growers about what seeds work best in a small backyard or on a balcony.
