R.K. Steels (India)

Our place is located at 207 Linghi Chetty Street. If you know this area, you know how crowded and busy it gets with all the trade going on. R.K. Steels (India) has been part of this street for quite a while now. We deal with steel, mostly just stocking and moving it to where it needs to go. The building is older, but it serves our purpose well enough. Working with steel is heavy and dirty work, so don't expect a polished showroom when you walk in. We spend most of our time dealing with orders and making sure the right sizes are ready for pickup. There are usually a few of us around to help load things up or check the inventory. It’s not a complicated business, but it keeps us on our feet all day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but Linghi Chetty Street always stays busy. We just keep our heads down and focus on the day's tasks. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit behind, but the actual steel work always gets handled. People come to us because we’ve been here and they know where to find 207. It’s just a regular shop run by regular people who know a bit about metal. We don't do much advertising, mostly just word of mouth from people who’ve stopped by before. That’s how we like it. The trucks have a hard time parking on this narrow street, but we’ve got a system for loading fast.
